Congratulations to Ryan Crosby '17 (Corpus Christi) (Boys Soccer) and Kayla Connelly '17 (St. Isidore) (Cross Country) for earning LC's Athletic Booster Club's Fall Athlete of the Year.  LC will be presenting a plaque to both recipients and LCAB will make a $50 donation to their favorite charity in their name.  Both recipients and their families will be honored at halftime on February 2 at our home boys basketball game.  Thank you LCAB and congratulations Kayla and Ryan!

kayla 4

Kayla Connelly '17 (St. Isidore) competed in her 4th straight PIAA State XC Champs in November. Kayla made it four for four, by finishing in the top ten from her freshman through senior year. She was 8th as a freshman, 5th as a sophomore, 3rd as a junior, and 4th as a senior. There are only a handful of XC runners, boys or girls in PA, that are in similar company with Kayla, in terms of her consistent high performance.  Kayla is the only XC runner in LC history to earn a medal each year.

Congratulations to Kayla Connelly '17 (St. Isidore) who placed in the Top 8 in the PIAA XC Championships in each of her four years at LC.  In addition, Andrew Danielson '17 (St. Jude) also qualified for States, along with Girls XC team members; Amy Forst '18 (St. Jude), Kat Holz '17 (SASH), Gabby Huber '17 (St. Isidore) and Sara Murphy '19 (Corpus Christi).  XC Head Coach Matt Connelly and Assistant Coach Jim Corrigan are looking forward to winter/spring track.

This is the third year in a row that the LC Golf Team has won the PIAA District 12 Title. We are proud of Coach Mark Daley and all the team members. These team members competed in the D12 match held at Meadowbrook CC in Blue Bell: Joe Walsh '17 (Corpus Christi), Marcus Janinek '17 (MMR), Brendan Clark '18 (St. Stanislaus/Mater Dei), Rob Schimony '18 (St. Stanislaus/Mater Dei) and Pat Gillen '19 (MMR).
