Amelia Wood '08 recently received a scholarship from the Simon Youth Foundation, owners of the Montgomery and King of Prussia Malls.  She was presented with a check for $1,500 which will go towards her education this fall.  She was one of only four recipients. She is pictured her with Mendan Pool, a manager at the Montgomery Mall.
Kathy O'Brien Murphy '78 is co-founder and CEO of Gray Consulting International Meetings and Incentives, headquartered in Philadelphia.  In September, the company was named one of the "Top 25" of the industry's largest and most influential full-service independent meeting and incentive travel management companies focused on the corporate market by Corporate Meetings & Incentives magazine.
Gregory Cheney '86 has relocated back to the East Coast (Flemington, NJ) from the Chicago area.  He is the GM of his firm's NJ office.  In 6 months, he has grown the office from 18 to 42 people providing consulting engineering services to process-related industries (refineries, chemical plants, food plants.) Julianne Marth Donnini '84 and her husband, Scott, own and operate a vineyard and winery in Salem County, NJ.  Their Auburn Road Vineyards wine room is open to the public for tastings, tours and purchases.
Bridget Grabish '99 was married in December 2007 to Joseph Shanley at Old St. Joseph’s Church in Philadelphia.  Bridget works in New York as a credit derivatives trading assistant for Deutsche Bank.

 

Andrea Fink '03 has just been appointed as the kindergarten teacher at St. Norbert's Catholic School in Paoli, PA.  Congratulations Andrea! You can read more about it at their website http://school.stnorbert.org/
Kathleen Breithaupt Kushner '94 graduated from Drexel University in 2007 with a Master's in Public Health.  She works for PRA International as a Global Project Director and currently resides in Blue Bell. Jennifer Santangelo Wilkinson '94 is currently in the Keller School of Graduate Management of Devry University to pursue an MBA in Human Resource Management with an emphasis in Corporate Training.
Dr. Nora Harrington Mainland '68 reminds us that NASA's  Phoenix Mars Lander will be landing on the Red Planet on May 25.  Dr. Mainland is a Mission Operations Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) in Pasadena, CA and an LC Hall of Fame Inductee from 2007.  To find out more about the mission, please click on the University of Arizona. Rev. Daniel M. Kredensor '99 was ordained to the priesthood by Cardinal Justin Rigali on Saturday, May 17 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia.  A native of Lansdale, his most recent assignment was deacon at Mary Mother of the Redeemer in North Wales. He attended Saint Stanislaus Elementary School and LC before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood.

Christopher Hartman '88 has some great news, his wife Beverly gave birth to their first children (boy and girl) on April 8th. The twins, Claudia and Harrison, are doing great.

Katie Corrado '01 has recently been recognized by the Carnegie Hero Foundation for her efforts in saving a man from drowning on Memorial Day Weekend 2006.  Katie is a graduate of Temple University and is currently a Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator for Liberty Lutheran Services, working out of the Artman Home in Ambler.  You can see more at this site http://www.carnegiehero.org.
George DiDomizio '53 is remembering the 50th anniversary of being drafted in the US Army and meeting Elvis Presley in Germany.  To read more about it, please click here on the Souderton Independent. 
 
Casey Stitzel '01 was recently named as Head Coach for the Men's Basketball team at Delaware Valley College.  He played one year under current University of Richmond coach, Chris Mooney.  To read more, click here on DelVal.
Emily Romendio '01 and LC Athletic Director, Jon Slabek are engaged with a July 2009 wedding planned.  Emily is also the Assistant Director of the LC Dance Company.  Congratulations to both! Matthew Malinosky '89 is the co-owner and chef of a new Italian BYOB.  Pat Bombino's, is located at 767 S. 9th Street in the Italian Market area of South Philly.  The restaurant is named after his 20 year old step brother Patrick, who passed away last year from cancer.  It was Pat's dream to have a restaurant with Matt.  Check out recent reviews by clicking on Philadelphia Magazine.
John Ambrose '79 was recently featured in a Time magazine article on collecting antiquities, please click here to read more about it http://www.time.com/time/business/article/0,8599,1693792,00.htmlJohn and his wife Judy own Fragments of Time, Inc., based in Medfield, MA, just minutes from downtown Boston, and specializes in fine antiquities from the dominant cultures of the ancient Mediterranean.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of the International Catacomb Society, and is a Senior VP of Strategy and Corporate Development for SkillSoft Corp of Nashua, NH.
James Thomas '64 was recently named Senior Vice President - Product Management for First Mercury Financial Corporation in Michigan. Mike Pesko, Jr. '66 was recently selected as the 2007 Veteran of the Year for the Vietnam Veterans of America, Indianapolis, IN Sammy L. Davis Chapter 295.

Michael & Peggy Held Haldeman '85 along with TJ & Mary Ellen Haldeman (children Jennifer '01 & Noel '02), opened up Owen’s Pub in April 2002.  We are located at 119 East 17th Avenue in North Wildwood New Jersey.  We are open all year round – 7 days a week – our doors open at  11:30am each day.  We have great daily specials which run all day and night – Sunday:  Sirloin Steak & Popcorn Shrimp $8.95, Monday:  Mini Cheese Steaks $1.95, Tuesday:  Pasta $2.95, Wednesday:  Wings $1.95 and Thursday:  Cheeseburgers $2.50. Come join us for Happy Hour – our should we say Happy Day – it runs all day and night - it is the best in the Wildwoods.

Leslie Robbins Overmier '91 and her husband Don ran in the 2008 Walt Disney World half marathon on January 12 and finished in less than 2 hours!  Their daughter, Rebecca '10 competed in her first race and finished in 2:31 with her friend Kierstin.  Bill Robbins '65 and Cathy Guckin Robbins '64 walked the half marathon in 3:38.  Over 16,500 runners/walkers competed in the 15th Annual Half Marathon.  Jen Robbins Jefferis '87, her husband Joe '88 and their son, Michael, were the cheering section for this family event.
Jim Herr '82 has been named Director of Diversity at Film Independent.  Jim’s primary task will be to create the Center for Diverse Filmmaking—a research, service and talent development institution aimed at increasing diversity in the entertainment industry. Jim previously managed the corporate social responsibility activities of Sony Pictures Entertainment and is currently filming his latest independent production. He was also recently appointed to a leadership delegation from Los Angeles that traveled throughout South Korea promoting inter-cultural understanding. 
Tom Byrnes '75 has been named the new Commissioner of the Captial Athletic ConferenceHe arrives at the Conference after serving as the Sports Information Director at California University of Pennsylvania for the past three years. Tom has over 20 years of athletic experience including previous work in a conference setting. In 2000, Byrnes was named the Assistant Executive Director for Media Relations at the Patriot League, a Division I Conference that includes American, Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy.
