Clare Hill '16 (Corpus Christi) is currently majoring in Chemistry at the University of Georgia.
"Receiving this scholarship will help me on my academic path to attend medical school after college graduation and continue on to become a pediatric surgeon. I wanted to thank all the teachers and staff and Lansdale Catholic for the support and encouragement I received during my four years. I was able to make lifelong friends because of the friendly environment at LC and am so happy I was able to attend this school. Thank you for your generous support of my education."

Colleen & Paul Guippone (St. Jude's) - parents of PJ '15 and Andy '19:
Our family is a testament to the positive power of Catholic education. We moved to Chalfont in 1997 and joined St. Jude Church so we could raise our kids in the well-known Central Bucks School District. Little did we know at the time, that our children would end up with the best educational experience imaginable but not because we were in the Central Bucks School District, but rather because we were lucky enough to live in the Saint Jude School area. We are the parents of two boys. Neither one of us grew up in Philadelphia nor did we come from an Archdiocese with such an incredible Catholic school program so we were not fully aware of its value. We now have two young men who are products of a Philadelphia Archdiocese Catholic School Education and who are both fully aware of the importance of Knowledge, Faith and Service to their community.
PJ earned an academic scholarship to Lansdale Catholic, where he also felt a strong sense of community, somewhere everybody knows your name. Lansdale Catholic, under the guidance of Mrs. McGovern and Mr. Casey, offers courses and service opportunities which allowed PJ to succeed in academics and spirituality. He received academic scholarships to several colleges/universities and chose LaSalle University's Honors Program where he has made Dean's list in his first semester. After going through Catholic school in the AOP school system, he found the transition from high school to college very manageable.
Andy, who watched PJ's successes and strived to be successful himself, was very active at St. Jude School and was the president of his 8th grade class. He participated in service projects and worked hard in his classes. Thanks to the generosity and the dedication to an Archdiocesan education from The Connelly Foundation, Andy was one of 2 Neumann Scholars from St. Jude School in 2105! Andy is now a freshman and has already started working hard and joining in the many activities offered at LC.
These fantastic schools (St. Jude and LC) taught, along with us as parents, that if they work hard and are good people, they can inspire younger kids who will look up to them and want to succeed also. As parents we feel blessed for the Catholic education our boys have received over the years. We know we gave them the best opportunity to become well-rounded faithful, kind men. We are so thankful for all the educators who dedicate their lives to teaching in Catholic schools. A Catholic education is not without cost, but for our family, it was the most important, meaningful money we ever spent.
