ACADEMIC

QUIZ BOWL

The Quiz Bowl Team is for people that enjoy trivia games, watching jeopardy, and/or playing with buzzers. We are a member of the Academic Showdown League, which includes Pottsgrove, SpringFord, Souderton, and Pope John Paul II High Schools. Teams of four compete against each other trying to answer a series of academic questions ranging in subject from social studies, math, foreign language, science, and English. Quiz Bowl is fun, informative, competitive, looks great on college apps, and best of all…we play with buzzers!

COUNCIL

The ALC seeks to create an environment, inclusive to all sports, where

members will represent LC athletics as a whole and influence positive

changes and growth within the LC athletics department. It is our

mission to exhibit the attitude and characteristics of Christian leaders

and work to improve our environment daily.

BAND &

CHORUS

The LC band and chorus, led by the incomparable Mr. James Timer,

have won  numerous awards, and are renowned for their creativity and

entertaining performances.  They perform in showcases in Disney

World, many community events, the annual Arts Showcase,

and numerous major school events like graduation. The pep band

performs at home football games.

CHICK-FIL-A

LEADER

ACADEMY

Chick-fil-A Leader Academy™ is a national high school leadership

program focused on impact through action. Thirty selected students 

from each school participate in  monthly Leader Labs using a unique

web-based curriculum. With the guidance of a faculty mentor these

students learn principles and gain insights that allow them to involve HUNDREDS

in their school in order to impact THOUSANDS in their community.

CRUSADER

PALS

Crusader Pals is a way for international LC students and American

LC students to become friends. Every international student will be

paired up with  an American LC student in their grade;

together, they will become Crusader Pals! They teach each other

about their culture, talk about school and life, and have fun together.

We have fun trips and events every month.

COMMUNITY

SERVICE

CORPS (CSC)

This organization is dedicated to assisting those in need.  Each month,

this  organization sponsors at least two service projects. To be

considered a member, a student needs to complete at least four

service projects each year.

DANCE

COMPANY

This club aims at providing interested students the opportunity to

learn more about this art form.  Students are able to experiment with

their talents through various  presentations during the year as well

as their participation in school shows.

DRAMA CLUB

This club offers students the opportunity to learn about different facets

of the theater and performing arts while exploring their own dramatic

talents. The club produces a fall drama and a spring musical. Students

also participate in field trips to Broadway and DeSales University.

TECH CREW

Members learn how to set up sound systems and production for

different events: Fall show, Spring Musical, assemblies, liturgies, class meetings,

and other functions throughout the year that requires our assistance.

LANGUAGE

HONOR

SOCIETY

Membership in the Foreign Language Honor Society is open to those

students who have displayed excellence in the study of languages

other than English. Students may apply each year in order to gain

acceptance into the society. If academic requirements are met, the

students take part in an induction ceremony where they pledge to

continue to master their language and expand their cultural awareness

of the people who speak the language. Community service is an

integral component  and inductees must complete community service

requirements in order to maintain their status, be eligible for

scholarship opportunities and be honored at graduation.

SOCIETY

The Art Honor Society supports members in their efforts to attain the

highest  standards in art scholarship, character, and service, and to

bring art education to the attention of the school and community.

HONOR

SOCIETY

NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated

excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and

character. At LC, NHS provides daily  tutoring, hosts the annual

blood drive and the mother/son, father/daughter dance.

LITURGICALY

SOUND

This group has a specific mission: to serve the school in such a way as

to enhance  our liturgical services through the gift of song.  The only prerequisite for  participation is a desire to praise God through music. 

The group is a contemporary  choir accompanied by various

instruments, including but not limited to keyboards, guitars, flutes,

trumpets, drums, basses and tambourines.

CONNECTION

(NEWSPAPER)

The Crusader Connection is a top-rate student newspaper published both in print and electronically once a quarter. Students gain experience in writing and journalism.

Sections include news, opinion, features, and sports.

THE CATALYST

(LITERARY

MAGAZINE)

This literary magazine is published each spring.  It is a vehicle for a

student’s creative writing and art.  Members meet monthly in order to

write and/or critique submissions to the magazine. Members also

participate in seminars and workshops on creative  writing during the

year.  All students are invited to submit their work to the magazine

through their English or Art teacher or directly to a member of the staff.

LC-TV

Students produce the daily morning show for announcements during homeroom,

and assist in broadcasting/live-streaming LC sporting events. Students can be on-air 

talent and/or work behind the scenes as a producer, director, and/or

editor of content.

MATHLETES

The mathletes hone their math skills, and compete against budding

Mathematicians from other schools in the area.

READING

OLYMPICS

Each year, a team from LC participates in the celebration of reading

with friends.   Each team member reads 4-5 books and answers

questions about them during the competition held in April and

sponsored by the MCIU.

RESPECT LIFE

CLUB

This group fosters a respect for all life.  Members participate in the

National March for Life in Washington, provide help for organizations

such as “Mom’s House”, and help feed the homeless.

Students compete at the national level with a robot, which they design

and build themselves.  Students are responsible for marketing and

fund raising.

THE TRAIL

(YEARBOOK)

LC’s award winning yearbook.  It involves its members in intense

work in photography, layout, graphic design, composition, and

sketching.  The Yearbook  Publication reflects our whole school life

from homecoming to the prom!

This elected-body represents student’s opinion, interest and concern

to the Administration.  It seeks to promote good, healthy

communication and rapport between students, faculty, administration,

staff, as well as the community.
