Homes for Our Troops Volunteer Day

Please join us THIS SATURDAY as we landscape Army CPL Kevin McCloskey’s future specially adapted custom home in Upper Southampton, PA. Students, parents, and families are encouraged to volunteer! There will also be a special check presentation of the funds the LC community raised during homecoming week.

Date: Saturday, November 17, 2018

Time: Bus departs LC at 8:30 AM; Meet at house at 9:15.

Come on out and join the fun! A DJ will be on site keeping things upbeat and moving along. Please bring gloves and other landscaping tools as we will be laying sod, planting bushes and spreading mulch. Lunch will be provided when work is complete. School Closing or Early Dismissal Information

In the event of LC closing or early dismissal due to weather conditions, our families are notified directly in several ways; email blast, phone call, social media postings on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Should the need arise for any early dismissals during a regular school day, we will dismiss according to the decisions of the public school districts on bus transportation.

LC Teams in PIAA State Playoffs

Girls Soccer are both PCL and District 12 AA Champs; beat St. Basil's 1-0 in the first round of PIAA Playoffs and lost to Lewisburg in the quarterfinals. Boys Soccer are District 12 AA Champs for the 6th year in a row. They lost to Lancaster Mennonite in the first round of PIAA Playoffs. Field Hockey are the District 12 A Champs but lost in the PIAA first round. Congratulations also to Girls Tennis (D12 AA Champs) and Boys XC (D12 AA Champs), a great fall season all around, best of luck to our seniors for their future plans. GO CRUSADERS!

LC Art Students Remember Tree Of Life Victims

“Which commandment is the first of all?” Jesus answered, “The first is, ‘Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” The art students from Ms McCloskey class, took time to remember victims of #TreeOfLifeSynagogue in our book of remembrance for November located in our Chapel of St Therese.

Caroline Cleary (St. Jude) and Matt McDonald (St. Rose/Mater Dei) are named Queen and King of Homecoming 2018.

Lansdale Catholic High School just completed their annual Homecoming Week fundraising for two charities which support military veterans: Homes for Our Troops and Tails of Valor. The money collected for Homes for Our Troops will go towards building a new home for local veteran CPL Kevin McCloskey, a graduate of North Catholic High School who lost both his legs in an IED attack in Afghanistan in 2008. Members of the Homecoming Court were challenged to raise funds and awareness for these wonderful charities. $27,363.66 was raised for both non-profits.
